It's opening day at the park.

Six Flags America

Here is the exact location of the entrance of the park, in case you are having trouble locating it:
http://maps.google.co...

Six Flags America is a smaller park with a decent number of coasters:

Superman: Ride of Steel
Roar
Wild one
Joker's Jinx
Batwing
Mind Eraser
Two Face

For other information as well as admission price, check out the link above.

In addition to rding coasters I have to get my picture taken for a season pass. A heads up for those who don't know. Six Flags is close enough to most people in the Philadelphia area to be able to buy season passes on-line. Six Flags America season passes are significantly cheaper than passes from Six Flags Great Adventure. The good part is that Six Flags season passes are good at any Six Flags park. The downside is that the coupon book you get with the season pass is only good at the park it was purchased at. The cool part is that after the first year, you can renew on-line and not have to go to the park (unless you want to go). Every 3 or so years (I think) they make you take another photo, which is why I'm getting my pic taken this year.

Anyways, a Six Flag season pass pays for itself in two visits. Not a bad deal. I mention it in case you were pondering getting a pass.

If there is inclement weather a rain date will be 5/3/08.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Once again, for this meetup it would have to be 30th Street Station for carpooling.

I think carpooling can be worked out. SFA is about 100 miles from the Philly Area. At ~25mpg, that's 4 gallons at, lets say $3.50 a gallon, which is about $14. Divide that by the number of people going and that is what each person should pay the driver. When it gets closer to the trip, we'll figure out who is going with who. I only have room for 1. If you are going and are open to carpooling, please speak up so we can make arrangements.

The weather was great, but the park was mediocre because of a big crowd and roller coasters that weren't operating at peak efficiency. It all turned out well in the end, but it was certainly a rocky start. I won't be planning a Six Flags America trip on opening day again.
